Got to meet teddy n vinu after a long long time...ws not very surprised to knw that teddy has started a rock band.. he was very happy about tht..He was wearing a skelton t - shirt n was unshaven.. aahh i hate people who are unshaven, they look so shabby..he ws looking like a perfect rock music fan well lets see how his songs are once his Cd gets launched will keep u posted on tht..
Yesterday was a fun day..against my wishes these insane people made me judge a dance competition.. well my boss was unhappy about it..there were so many rate contracts i had to finish , he didn't like me waste time on this.. such a poor soul !!
he is so much involved in this supply chain tht
he has stoped appreciating wht a superub art a dance is..
The dance competition had only 2 entry's n the girls team topped the list... n a great award i got in the end was tht i was informed to stay back n finish my work n then leave home... so reached home late.. swty boy ws desperately waiting for me... felt really soorryy tht i made him wait.. On seeing me his twinkling eyes gave me a huge smile n he hugged me tight.. i madly started crying.. i missed him too..
On the other front reading a book on aliens.. very interesting book in this website -

A little Info on why we celebrate Sankranti / Pongal

Makara Sankranti (It is a sanskrit word) is the harvest festival of India.
Sankranti means transmigration of Sun from one Rashi to the other.
The transition of Sun from Dhanur Rasi to Makara Rasi marks
the starting of Uttarayana which means northern movement of Sun.
Since Uttarayana is Considered as auspicious time,
Makara Sankranti is celebrated as the beginning of that period

The word Uttarayan came from joining two different Sanskrit words

"Uttar" (North) and "ayan" (movement towards)
Uttarayanis the day when the sun starts
to travel towards north as a sign of coming summer.
Uttarāyana (is the six month period between
Makar Sankranti around (January 14) and
Karka Sankranti around (July 14),
when the Sun travels towards north on the celestial sphere.

The period from July 14 to January 14 is known
is Dakshināyana

Sun is the one who transcends time and also the one who rotates
the proverbial wheel of time
The co-relation of cosmic events with individual life is one of
the most astounding traits of Hindu Masters. Once this co-relation
is brought about these cosmic events become instrumental
in reminding us of the best which we cherish and value.
Sun is the most glorious and important cosmic body,
thus every sun-centric event becomes an important spiritual,
religious & cultural event in India

Well it's celebrated diffrently in diffrenent parts of India:
In North India,
Punjab - Lohri
In East India,
Bihar - Sankranti
West Bengal and Assam - Bhogali Bihu
Gujarat and Rajasthan - Uttarayan (Kite flying festival)
In South India,
In Tamilnadu - Pongal

In Karnataka - Sankranti
It is a three day festival in Andhra Pradesh:
Day 1 - Bhogi Panduga (Bhogi Pongal)
Day 2 - Peddala Panduga,SANKRANTI (Surya Pongal)
Day 3 - Kanuma Panduga (Kanuma Pongal)

Sankranti brings with it an abundance of crop and wealth.
This season experiences cool breeze, bright sun,
golden fields and trees which echo the songs of birds.
The earth glows with the glory of nature.
During Sankaranthi , men, women and children, attired in traditional, colorful clothes visit friends and relatives and exchange pieces of sugarcane, a mixture of fried til,
molasses, pieces of dry coconut, peanuts and fried gram.

So have a blast this Sankranti....

Season Greetings...

Me n myself

9th happend to be dad's D day.. This is one day i always spend time in tranquility , i happened to go to my krishna temple...this is one place where you can find time for urself..there is complete silence around, there was a brush stroke of chillness in the air..the clouds were weathering away for the morning sun..Sprouts of grass were portraying diamond crystals at their edges as the sun came up , the surrounding was echoing with vibrant bird calls... there was a sense of serenity that prevailed both within me n in the atmosphere around.. .Perhaps it was an escape on my part to find the space to rediscover coz my business calendar was running my life. i was lost trying to prove myself...It was then I found the need to step out of myself the need to have a private communion with myself had become essential.
I lost myself for a while. In its losing, I found the real me.
I just needed to simplify my life. There were so many glorious things around me that I had paid no attention to, I had just been too busy elbowing myself onto a crowded bus the destination of which was unclear. In the process I had lost track of my own journey.
Best of all, I have realized that solitude is sometimes the s best society.

I happen to pen down this..

Silence was in the air
i could see there was
something wrong..
But they spoke
nothing to me...

I was indicated to go forward
and take the leap,
But little did i know
there was a limpid pool of
pain where ripples never die..
but those eyes proclaimed
the cause of pain...
It hindered my heart
as i stood there thinking hard
what went wrong?...
as i had seen him only yesterday
full of life , cuddling me up in the
hospital bed
as of now he lay down there
cold hearted,sleeping calmly as if
nothing went wrong..

Tear's rolled down my cheeks
and the gentle heart's of my
loved one's cuddled me up
yet again...

Miss u papa..Bless me from where ever you are..

Well on the other side this week has been too tiring , too many things to do.. too less time..Hoping to have a peaceful weekend.. wish the same to u all..

Cya take care...

Last post of the year - * 2007 *

hey this would be my last post of the year 2007 coz monday promises to be equally busy at work , since it is the last day of the year it will be closing time for the New year bashPO's.. Have completed most of them.. will do the little pending ones which i have to release on monday i'm sure i won't dissappoint them..
Since this would be my last post of the year
just want to recap on how was 2007...
Well i can say 2007 has been a great year..
To start it off My swty boy's 1 b'day Celebrations!!.. that will always be a special memory in my life & on the career front - getting a good job with a good pay n a good team.. wht else can i ask 4!!...& to top it all My Blog's 100th Post...Wow wht a year i've had...God has been very kind to me indeed.. thanking him for all the love n support...

Hmmn.. on my new year 2008 Resolutions

2008 Resolutions...
1.Vowed to make this year the year to learn something new, thinking of learning a new language, or taking some course n have a urge to learn veena.. lets see but one thing is for sure that this is One of the most motivating New Year's resolutions to keep.
2.Another one i wish to do is to volunteer to help build a good society, there are some opportunities here at my work place n at ISKCON too..At work place they send out a mail where we can volunteer on mentoring the children of a NGO school or do some activities on global warming n many more things like that...well if i don't really have much time maybe i can at least donate a little money or some clothing and other household items that is no longer used rather than leaving them out by the curb to fill up our landfills.
3. Another thing i have in mind is to wake up early , i wake up by 6.30 AM every day but i think this is also a little late , so thinking of waking up 5.30 or 5.45 at the most.. this one s a little difficult lets see...
4.Another thing which is bothering me quite a lot at home n at work place is that i react to people's comments almost immediately.. think this has to be changed.. the reason is that i sometimes end up hurting them though unintentionally... still it's bad i feel.. Need to cultivate the habit of meditating at least 15 min daily..
5.Well lastly i want to be more organized at home n at work i think it is a very reasonable goal
At Work my Mails n Folders should be more organized so that every thing will be on my finger tips..n my documents.. i get so many vendor related docs daily tht mess's up my desk , will have to maintain a file for the same.. thinking of creating an excel sheet or a drive for the soft copies of the same...n at home cleaning is getting hit big time thinking of doing it on the 2nd sunday of every month...n want to really really spend less on unwanted things n try n save this year..
Let's see how things materialises..
ok tht s about it.. Big list i knw, but i'm never one for small goals!!.. cya on 31st.. Have a nice Weekend

Hey my weekend went not very fine i can say ... Was at home this time lazing around...taking afternoon snaps.. watchin the movies , eating popcorn... Well you knw wht ysterday i did one stupid thing.. read on u will knw...Hmmn ws bored sitting at home the whole day so thaught i would buy some chocolates but one great stupid thing i did ws tht i carried the purse which had no money nor my Cc cards... n the most foolish thing was that i found tht out only vn i had finished eating Pani puri.. the situation was worst... The Pani puri wala ws staring at me...later vn i digged my bag n purse to my luck i found only ONE 20 re note...thnk god my bill was only 12 Rs.. ohh wht a relief n vn i digged further more to my bad luck i found only sodexho coupons in my purse... A lesson i learnt for having the Disadvantage of buying too many bags n Pouches...but i still wanted to buy chocolates so badly so there i ws in Fab Mall.. n the lady there was sweet coz she said she said that she would accept sodexho food coupons not only for my chocolates but also for my non food items... So there i was happily shopping , i brought a conditioner & a Deo Spray...n Johnson's soap n powder for my swty boy.. n yes brought some fresh chocolates n wafered choco sticks for my swty boy..he liked them so much.. Trust me i have never been ths happy on seeing the sodexho coupons ever in my life!!!! Well then as soon as i went home i decided that i would dump all the imp items only in one bag n all the cards n money in one pouch... Promised myself that this episode would never ever happen again my life.. n later in the night got a call from neha after a long time.. Felt really nice.. wanted to talk to her so much.. it has been more than a month since i spoke to her.. today is the great Bonda's B'day..Woke him up n wished him early in the morning..Planning to meet him n vinu this week.. lets see...2mrw again s a holiday.. A Special Blog on a Special Day - My 100th Blog

Hmmn...it s been a long long way...
Congrats to me on my 100th Blog Posts....
I know... 100 posts is a small accomplishment by today's Blog standards, but it's still one that I'm very happy and proud to acknowledge.
Well firstly let me take a walk down memory lane....
I started my blog on way back in "17th Jan 2006"... Just the very thaught of having a personalised webpage excited me a lot so happily created my blog... but frankly speaking i didnot knw wht to pen..so started with posting my fav mails.. n also posted some poems i wrote & some of my fav pics...n Being a Mother was a huge & Sweet responsibility... so no time to think of anything except my swty boy n home...
Hoon where was I?...The problem with me is that once i start walking down the memory lane so many things start fighting to come out that it becomes clustered..So let me follow some lane discipline..
Haan n by July again i started personlising my blog whenever i could get a little free time, Well to be frank ws little tired of not being productive for so long.. though enjoyed Motherhood...n yes doing my daily chores.. of course!! n well watching sopas at home.. Yowning.. he he.. well it ws all fine but still...Hmmn...Trust me my job ws was a like a re-birth to me.. n By Nov i had promised to update my blog regularly..Really dont knw what pushed me to start updateing reguarly.. n Also, because I know I have an audience (however small it may be), it encouraged me to write more. So, as long as I don't get entirely too personal on here....but now it has become an addiction to me.. One think to ask.. Did i Deliver as promised?...You are the Better Judge.
NO this is not such a Good Idea..I dont want to put such a huge responsibility on u people..But one thing i can say for sure that none of u all read all my posts!! & Not only that nobody is expected to remember the 99 posts to judge me!!.. One great thing that i got as a blogger is that i have created a place for my own reflection , n there is a Creativity too..To do something new , To write somethng fresh... My Writing Skills have Improved...(ahhaa.. P.J...) Never Mind ...but yes we articulate new ideas with every post..& n well on a whole trying to be a better Human Being...
At the last I take this opportunity to thank all the readers and visitors to my blog..
I couldn't have done it without you All Well, who am I kidding.
I would have done it without you anyway. He He...
TakeCare...

Hey I'm On 99 Not Out..!!

Hey Hey People you knw what my blog will be just turning to 100 Posts on my next one...i'm on 99 already....wow it has been a long long way.... Hmmn it's raining here coz of cyclonic effect...but still enjoying the weather.. ysterday whn i ws just returning home in this cold weather.. my lovely neighbour offered me a hot & spicy crispy chilli's wow it was mouth watering!! Well today no much work just following up & documentation.. everyone in office are jazzing up their bay as chrismas s coming up.. all are already in festive mood!!...hey another thing when was surfing got to read a rare article check it out.. The unusual case of a man who produced green blood when undergoing a operation is analysed in a Case Report in this week's edition of The Lancet. Dr Stephan Schwarz and Dr Alana Flexman, Department of Anaesthesia, St Paul's Hospital, The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada and colleagues performed the operation and authored the Case Report. The man - a 42-year-old white Canadian - had developed a compartment syndrome (localised tissue/nerve damage due to restricted blood flow) in both lower legs after falling asleep in a sitting position. He was a smoker whose medical history included chronic shoulder pain and migraine, and was taking a number of regular medications, including sumatriptan to treat the migranes. Doctors decided he needed urgent fasciotomies (a limb saving procedure in which tissue is cut into to relieve pressure) and he underwent emergency tests, which determined he was mildly tachycardic (rapid heart beat) but had normal blood pressure and his only initial abnormal blood result was an extremely high creatine kinase concentration. In the operating theatre, multiple attempts to insert a radial arterial catheter yielded dark greenish-black blood, which was immediately sent away for analysis. Meanwhile the catheter was eventually fully inserted, and the man recovered well. Sulfhaemoglobinaemia, rather than cyanosis, was diagnosed as the cause of the green-black blood. Cyanosis is usually caused by deoxyhaemoglobin (the deoxygenated form of the blood's oxygen-carrying haemoglobin molecule), which imparts a blue colour to the skin and mucous membranes. However, occasionally this discolouration can be caused by sulfhaemoglobin - which forms when a sulphur atom is incorporated into the haemoglobin molecule, and can be caused by medications, including sulfonamides. The authors say: "It is possible that our patient's arguably excessive intake of sumatriptan, which contains a sulfonamide group, caused his sulfhaemoglobinaemia." They conclude: "Sulfhaemoglobinaemia generally resolves with erythrocyte (red blood cell) turnover; however, transfusion can be necessary in severe cases." He He Rare naa....

Hey check this out..

YouTube - Americans are NOT stupid - WITH SUBTITLES

Have a look at this...

The M51 "Whirlpool Galaxy" shines as one of the brightest spiral galaxies in the night sky.
Several NASA space observatories combined to produce this composite image. The Chandra X-ray Observatory shows purple, point-like sources that indicate black holes and neutron stars in binary star systems, and also picks up on the glow of hot gas lighting the space between the stars. The Hubble Space Telescope provides optical data in green, while the Spitzer Space Telescope sees red infrared emissions — both reflect lanes of stars, gas, and dust in the galaxy's spiral arms. The Galaxy Evolution Explorer completes the image with views of hot, young stars giving off ultraviolet energy in blue.
The spiral shape may be a result of a galactic encounter when NGC 5195 passed through M51's main disk about 500 million years ago. That gravitational tug-of-war likely triggered a new round of starbirth, as gravitational forces condensed gas and jump-started the process of star formation.
